Natural Psoriasis and PMS Relief

Plant Medicine Healing

When struggling with any continuing health concern, you will go to great lengths in search of finding relief. Below I share my battle with severe PMS pain and psoriasis and how one powerful little flower completely healed my symptoms.

Age thirteen was a tough year. I moved halfway across the world from a warm Australian climate to a cold Canadian one. At this time, not only was I experiencing the usual hormonal shifts most teenagers do, but I also began to develop extremely painful PMS symptoms and psoriasis.

My psoriasis started as small patches on my elbows and eventually spread to my shoulders, ribcage and hips. I tried steroid lotions and creams, but my only true relief was found by tanning in the sunshine or uv beds.

My PMS symptoms were so bad that I became physically ill from the pain. I tried many different approaches to ease my symptoms such as medications like Midol, hot water bottles, teas, essential oils and yoga poses. The only real relief I could find was to wait until I became sick, which was extremely inhibiting and terrible.

With both of these symptoms getting progressively worse with age, I decided to take action and research natural cures. What I discovered completely changed my life!

The Remedy

I discovered the healing power of the borage flower. This flower produces an oil that has high concentrations of an essential fatty acid called GLA (gamma linolenic acid). This magical oil stabilizes regulates inflammation, muscle contractions and blood clotting.

After learning about these incredible properties, I purchased Lorna Vanderhaeghe's GLA Skin Oil and I ingested and applied this oil topically for a few months until the bottle was empty. I couldn't believe how quickly it began to work! People don't believe me when I show them my now clear skin. As for PMS, I occasionally have minimal symptoms such as bloating and tiredness, but I don't experience the extreme pain that leads me to get sick! After my successful experience, I now buy a bottle of borage oil once a year for maintenance purposes starting in the fall before the harsh winter weather settles in.
