Creating a Healing Space for Meditation
Sacred Spaces
If you can breathe you can practice meditation anywhere, but where is your FAVOURITE place? What does it look, feel, smell, sound, and even taste like?
Do you enjoy being seated on a cushion, cross-legged on the floor, or on a chair? Would you rather be laying down on a yoga mat, blanket, couch, or in the bathtub, or bed? Would prefer involving some movement or walking? Is there a specific room or place you prefer? Indoors or outdoors? Do you enjoy being in your bedroom, living room, spare room, multiple rooms, your back yard, balcony, or maybe it is a space outside of your home? Maybe you prefer practicing in a group setting?
For myself, I love practicing meditation in many different ways and places. That being said, I have three main go-to spots. The first is in my bedroom as I enjoy laying in bed and practicing upon waking and before going to sleep so that I can use my Speyeral Pillow over my eyes. The second is in my bathtub as I enjoy being submerged in the cleansing water element. The third is being seated on my meditation cushion in the living room. Since these are the areas I meditate most frequently in, I ensure that they hold especially high vibrational healing energy.
No matter where you decide to create sacred space for your practice, consider placing the following items as they will not only act as visual reminders but will bring high vibrational healing energy.
