Hey! I’m Jess!

I'm an Australia born, Canadian brewed creative entrepreneur. Over the years, I have studied with many incredible teachers, leaders, artists, and healers from around the world. I am deeply passionate about working with people in gentle and effective ways so we can radiate joy in all aspects of our lives.

Since early years I have been a creative, philosophical thinker, fascinated by the connection of our human existence, nature, well-being, and art, and so I was determined to explore these interests in adulthood. After high school, I continued my studies and graduated on Dalhousie University’s Dean's List with a BA in Theatre Costume Design, and received my Makeup Artistry Certification at Paramita Academy of Makeup in Toronto. Alongside my own freelance business, I have worked for one of the world’s largest international cosmetic brands, spas, multiple international beauty, health, and wellness companies, and have been mentored by numerous entrepreneurial leaders from around the globe, working as a makeup artist, aromatherapist, content creator, marketing strategist, and skincare expert. Professionally working in the health, wellness and beauty industry since 2012, my experience and education led me to pay special attention to the relationship between human behaviour, modern beauty practices, and a person’s health and wellness.

While taking nearly a half year break to travel to different countries around the world, I visited one place very close to my heart, my birthplace Perth, Australia. When I was a teenager, my family and I moved to Nova Scotia from Perth so returning back to my birthplace as an adult was a deeply healing experience.

My childhood experiences heavily influence my adult life. I grew up in an environment where self-care, intuitive guidance, and wellness was celebrated. As a child and teenager, I regularly attended yoga classes with my mother and sister, and I practiced many hobbies such as dance and martial arts. I also learned first hand, from a young age, about the effectiveness of non-traditional healing practices as my family would often first seek Traditional Chinese Medicine practices if medical attention was needed. Family trips to countries such as Indonesia and Southeast Asia exposed me to different forms of cultural and spiritual appreciation. While back in Australia, I was reminded of these influences on my life.

Upon returning back to Canada, after my travels as an adult, I was inspired to take the next step and pursued my interest in healing work. This lead me to receive my Usui Reiki Master and Teacher Training Certification in Toronto, as well as my Human Design Reader certification.

I am forever both student and teacher. I have studied from numerous teachers around the world and I infuse all of these teachings into my products and services.

Now, back in Nova Scotia, I use my years of experience and knowledge, from both my childhood and adult life, to share the importance of your healing journey through courses,, virtual events, 1:1 mentorships, and freelance services, creating Speyeral Beauty.
